After a Wet Winter Let Spring Begin!
Spring into Cranleigh is taking place on the 3rd of May in Cranleigh village hall on Cranleigh High Street. This year we are showcasing our wonderful village hall and areas surrounding it. It is just part of the many events Cranleigh Parish Council holds throughout the year making Cranleigh a wonderful and community orientated place to live.
Gemma Radford is now in her 2nd year as the Cranleigh Parish Councils' event co-ordinator and has successfully produced last year's "Spring into Cranleigh", the "Cycle Race Event" and the snow filled "Christmas Lights Extravaganza". She described this year's "Spring into Cranleigh" as "A chance to come into our beautiful village; be part of the community and enjoy all the fabulous entertainment, stalls, rides, a farm and vintage tea party. I look forward to seeing you there"
The day will run from 10am to 4pm inside and outside the Village hall and be filled with activities for young and old including an interactive performance from Spiderman, a real live farm, traditional rides and face painting. Our wonderful local businesses, organisations and community groups will be running stalls and activities.
We are showcasing local entertainment - the fantastic Matt Fiddes Judo, the ever popular Molly Moo Cow, Rudgwick dance and local musical talent; Have the chance to buy fresh and local produce from stalls and taste the delights from the French market.
After all this excitement you can sit down in our vintage tea room and recover with a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake served in beautiful vintage china (by Dee of Splendid Occasions). All this in the warmth of the Village Hall!
Other activities include: The library is holding a cake sale and giving people the opportunity to access the history area (by appointment only) and the Arts Centre showcasing all it has to offer including a popup art café.
